See NTI story NTICRUEL; Grisly pictures show the body of the red female Dogue de Bordeaux lying lifeless under a tree. The pooch, believed to be around six years of age, was in a coppice down a country lane in Quatt, Shrops., close to the A442. The animal was found with baler twine wrapped around its neck, as well as marks which indicated the dog had been strangled to death. The dog, which is believed to have laid dead for at least two weeks before it was found, was collected by a dog warden on February 15 who contacted the RSPCA.
